Post Title: General Worker (x400)
Location: Various Depots
Remuneration: R9 531,55 pm (basic salary excluding benefits)
Reporting to: Team Leader
Purpose: To carry out relevant cleaning and/or refuse bin delivery related tasks, ensuring cleanliness and effective service delivery within assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Street cleaning and sweeping.
- Cleaning all bins and ensuring proper maintenance.
- Wearing protective clothing at all times.
- Distributing refuse bags and collecting them as per service requirements.
- Handling new/replacement bin deliveries and ensuring proper documentation.
- Resolving complaints and queries from the public and service users promptly.
- Reporting safety incidents, equipment issues, and injuries to the team leader.
- Completing daily tasks efficiently and effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 qualification.
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience in cleaning or general work.
- No criminal record.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- South African citizenship and residence within the City of Johannesburg.
Knowledge/Skills/Behaviors:
- Familiarity with company procedures and relevant legislation.
- Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong prioritization and task execution skills.
- Capability to work independently and within a team.
