Toy Sprint finalists speed into Toys R Us stores

It is a toy dream come true for twelve lucky youngsters, who have won the opportunity to raid the shelves of their favourite toy store in the Nickelodeon and Toys R Us Toy Sprint.

Securing the coveted spots ahead of scores of entrants, the finalists of the hotly-contested competition will put their speed to the test at Toys R Us stores in a race against the clock – their goal… to scoop as many toys as they can in 60 seconds.

Toy enthusiasts Aishania Sana Naidoo, Chad Fanaroff, Julie Joan Kloppe and Maleeha Suliman will dash through the aisles of Toys R Us Boksburg in Johannesburg on 12 July in the hope of sprinting their way into the next round of the competition.

Last week, the competition’s Capetonian contenders set the pace as they sped through Toys R Us Canal Walk, filling their trolleys with their favourite toys- including Lego, Playstation, Leap Frog and other popular brands.

The Durban heat will take place on 19 July, 2017 at Toys R Us Gateway.

The events are open to the public, giving fans the opportunity to enjoy a sneak-peak into the action.

“We are overwhelmed by the incredible response to the competition and can’t wait to make all our finalists’ dreams of running through their favourite toy store a reality,” says Nicole Annells, Marketing Manager, Toys R Us and Babies R Us South Africa.

The winners of the Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg sprints will then go head-to-head in an online video battle determined by public vote to claim the ultimate prize – an all-expenses paid trip for four to the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resort Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
