Shavathon comes to Pav this weekend!

The 13th annual National CANSA Shavathon will be held in the Fountain Court at The Pavilion Shopping Centre this Saturday, February 27th from 9am to 5pm and Sunday, February 28th from 11am to 4pm.

Come on down with your family and friends to show your support by shaving your head or spray painting, stencilling and even wrapping your hair in solidarity with cancer survivors.

Adults can shave or spray their head for a donation of R50 or more and children, under 12 years old, R25 and Head Wraps (Bandannas) will also be sold on the day. Funds raised will contribute towards CANSA’s care and support programme in Durban to support this community to help fight cancer as well as assist with cancer education programmes, patient care and support in the form of 12 Care Homes in the main metropolitan areas for out-of-town cancer patients, 30 CANSA Care Centres that offer stoma clinics, 9 Mobile Health Clinics, medical equipment hire as well as toll-free line and support.

If you would like to take your contribution to the next level, you can also donate your ponytail. The volunteers on duty are equipped to accept your hair donations that are 25cm and longer, which goes towards making human hair wigs for the CANSA Care Centres and cancer patients undergoing Chemotherapy.

Apart from all the spraying and shaving, there will also be awesome entertainment between 11h00 and 14h00 on both Saturday and Sunday – so come and enjoy a fun-filled day with us in support of a good cause.
