Debuting on Universal Channel (DStv Channel 117) on 19 May at 20:00, Second Chance asks the question: What would you do with a second chance? Robert Kazinsky (set to make a prominent appearance in the upcoming blockbuster Warcraft) stars in his first lead role in a US drama as Jimmy Pritchard, a man who will do whatever it takes to redeem himself and reconcile with his family.
What if you died but were given a second chance? Once disgraced L.A. County Sheriff Jimmy Pritchard finds himself in that very predicament after billionaire Mary Goodwin (Dilshad Vadsaria) and genius Otto Goodwin (Adhir Kalyan) resurrect him in a new body, following his death during a robbery in his son’s home. Formerly a 75-year-old man with little to live for, Jimmy’s new body is more capable than ever, and he’s determined to right the wrongs of the past.
Dealing with the temptations that originally led him onto the path of corruption is not going to be easy, but Jimmy isn’t about to let a little adversity stand in his way. Now, his son, FBI agent Duval Pritchard (Tim DeKay), is in danger.
The fact is, Duval may have no idea who Jimmy has become, but he wants nothing to do with his father. We can’t forget about the Goodwin twins, who are not without their own motivations for bringing Jimmy back from the dead.
With twists at every turn, Second Chance is a nail-biting ride from start to finish. It’s riddled with questions we all too often ask ourselves: What if I had kept in touch, or spoken out? And what if I had told the truth? These are the choices Jimmy will have to come to terms with in this epic 11-part series.
Written by Rand Ravich (Life, Crisis) and executively produced by Rand Ravich, Howard Gordon, Donald Todd and Brad Turner, Second Chance is sure to thrill, premiering on Thursday, 19 May at 20:00, exclusive to Universal Channel (DStv Channel 117).
