Qantas and iconic Australian lifestyle brand Country Road announced the launch of a new amenity kit for Qantas customers travelling in Premium Economy.
The unisex kit comes in a custom black and white gingham print and is the perfect size to fit travel amenities and use on the go. The contents include a Country Road-branded eye mask, socks, a toothbrush and toothpaste.
Phil Capps, Qantas’ Head of Product and Service Development, said the new Country Road amenity kit was an additional benefit for Premium Economy customers.
“We love what Country Road does and we’re really proud to partner with such an iconic brand to give our customers around the world an authentic Australian experience when they fly with us,” said Mr Capps.
“Premium Economy is one of our most popular cabins and appeals to customers who want a little indulgence at a reasonable price, so we continue to look for ways to improve their travel experience and often it’s the little things that count.
“We have always offered comfort items in Premium Economy, but we wanted to add an extra bit of luxury with the new Country Road amenity kit, which customers can use after the flight as a make-up bag, pouch for a smart-phone or personal earphones and the like,” added Mr Capps.

“The Travel Kit design is inspired by our iconic black and white Gingham print, selected for its clean and minimal palette and timeless appeal,” Ms Holt added.
The new kits will be available on all Qantas B747 and A380 services fitted with a Premium Economy cabin from Australia to London, Dubai, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Dallas/Fort Worth, Hong Kong, Haneda (Tokyo), Santiago and Johannesburg.
About Qantas Premium Economy
Premium Economy first launched in February 2008 on Qantas’ international B747 aircraft, then in August 2008 on its first A380. These aircraft operate to London, Dubai, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Dallas/Fort Worth, Hong Kong, Haneda (Tokyo), Santiago and Johannesburg.
Customers enjoy a private Premium Economy cabin of between 32 and 40 seats. The seat designed by Marc Newson offers extra width and recline, more legroom, and an in-arm digital wide screen television monitor, as well as laptop power connection.
Premium Economy includes a self-service bar offering a selection of refreshments throughout the flight, in addition to a wide selection of meals inspired by Neil Perry, premium Australian wines, superior tableware and soft furnishings.
Additionally, customers travelling in Premium Economy are now able to order their meal prior to their flight via Select on Q-Eat. Select on Q-Eat allows customers to pre-order their meal prior to flying, offering more choice, including an additional dish available as an online exclusive on select routes.
Premium Economy also offers the convenience of priority check-in at dedicated check-in counters and priority access to a dedicated boarding lane.
