Johannesburg: The Orlando Pirates yesterday continued in its drive to inspire and uplift young lives when they handed 60 brand new soccer kits at Thabisang Primary School in Orlando to four schools.
The growing partnership with Adidas, the Spur Masidlale Programme and ABI had its origin in 2015 and has grown into a much loved day by the community, bringing the people and children a bit closer to their soccer heroes.
The Spur Masidlale Programme (a Soccer development programme) is playing an increasingly important role in supplying the youth with both soccer and life skills. This year saw Mzamo Primary School, Thabiseng Primary School, Mbuyisa Makhubu Primary School and Ikageng (a charity organisation from Orlando West) participating in the day interacting with their favourite players who further inspired the young and future soccer stars of South Africa.
