Open Day at AAA School of Advertising

By in Education, Research, Policy on September 27, 2016

The AAA School of Advertising will be hosting its final Open Day of the year at its campuses in Cape Town and Johannesburg.  The Cape Town Campus Open Day takes place on Saturday 1st October from 09h30, while Johannesburg will host prospective students on the 8th October from 09h30. Young and talented individuals wanting a creative and dynamic career are invited to attend and explore the myriad opportunities available in the fields of advertising and marketing.

The AAA is offering a slightly different experience this year.  There will be no long arduous presentations, no formal events, no having to sit through explanations of courses that are not of interest.  This year, faculty staff and students will be providing attendees insights into the world of being a AAA student, engaging on a one-on-one basis.  If you are interested in a career in advertising or marketing, but are not sure what it entails, this is your chance to find out, and ask the questions you want answered. An exciting and challenging career in marketing or creative communication awaits!

The AAA provides specialized and industry leading degree courses in the fields of graphic design, art direction, copywriting, account management, brand management, strategic planning, digital planning and media management, with many of its graduates occupying some of the most notable and senior positions in the advertising and marketing professions.

“The new format AAA Open Day allows prospective students considering a career in either advertising or marketing the unique opportunity to engage with students, lecturers and department heads. The AAA is owned by the SA advertising industry and all the lecturers have worked within the industry.  The AAA provides tuition in terms of what the industry wants from students, and this is invaluable in terms of finding employment following graduation,” says Prof. Krishna Govender, AAA School Head of Academia.

When you consider that the AAA has been voted one of the top five creative institutions in the world by Lurzers International, it is clear that the AAA has more to offer than ‘a place to study’. Add to that the fact that is the only South African tertiary institution with international accreditation from the International Advertising Association, and it becomes abundantly clear why the AAA is considered the Birthplace of Brilliant.

“The saying goes that the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the one that do. Do you have what it takes? These are the young creative minds that we welcome at the AAA.  The industry needs and thrives on the mavericks, those that push the limits, those that defy convention. Join us at our Open Days and find out more about why you should be studying at the AAA.” concludes Govender.
