In striving to maintain and increase its academic activities as well as to sustain its relevance to the various communities it serves, the NWU Mafikeng Campus will be offering two new academic programmes in 2017 in the Faculties of Humanities and the Faculty of Commerce.
The programme introduced in the Faculty of Humanities is Bachelor of Arts in Language and Literacy studies while the Faculty of Commerce introduces the Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Financial Accounting.
This is a clear indication that the NWU academic efforts are focused and that it strives to contribute to supplying innovative solutions to challenges faced by the country and beyond. With its skilful blend of academic programmes, the Mafikeng Campus embodies the NWU’s commitment to being locally engaged, nationally relevant and internationally recognized as these qualifications are already on the Higher Education Qualification Sub Framework (HEQSF) aligned with the Programme Qualification Mix (PQM) of the institution.
These qualifications will therefore improve existing combinations of modules, curricula and programmes in the Mafikeng Campus that continuously ensures that qualifications are relevant and offered effectively.
