Johannesburg – Connect has recently been awarded the Most Innovative MVNO at the 15th Annual World MVNO Congress 2016, held in Amsterdam this month.
This award adds to the 3 internationally recognized awards received since launching in June 2015. Connect received recognition for being the “Most Innovative MVNO” in the Telecoms.com Awards in November last year, and scooped 2 further awards at the AfricaCom Awards shortly after this.
“We are very pleased at the recognition FNB Connect is receiving around the world as this proves that innovative ways to meet customer needs are essential in providing best in class products and services,” says Shadrack Palmer, Chief Commercial Officer of FNB Connect.
Customers’ ability to manage their mobile spend on FNB’s electronic banking platforms is proving invaluable in providing customers with transparency and control over their mobile spend. Connect Flexi, the most innovative of the packages allows customers to change their voice, data and SMS bundles monthly as their usage needs change.
“FNB Connect has more than 200 000 active subscriptions, all of whom are enjoying the added benefit of zero data charges for accessing any of the electronic banking platforms such as Online Banking, FNB App, Cellphone Banking and eWallet. This is in line with FNB’s strategy to migrate more customers towards digital banking,” says Palmer
Through continuous product enhancement FNB switched on LTE services on all Connect SIMs on Tuesday 19th April. All customers with LTE enabled devices can now enjoy faster data speeds with coverage in Gauteng, Western Cape and Kwazulu Natal.
“We are extremely excited with the growth of FNB Connect and are looking forward to announcing more innovative services which bring convenience to our customers,” says Palmer.
