KZN’s mightiest mites all came together for the inaugural uShaka Mighty Kids Fitness Adventure course which featured a number of fun-filled inflatable obstacles and incorporated some of Wet n Wild’s popular slides.
The event saw youngsters who were participants in the uShaka Swimanathi programme, a water safety programme which began at the park in February, as well as children who signed up on the day. All contestants participated in teams featuring between 15 – 20 children within the specified age groups, who all had a blast while making some new friends along the way – all in good team spirit.
All participants, aged between the ages of 6 and 13 years, did not go home empty-handed. Each individual received a certificate and a t-shirt while the winning teams received a medal, cap and drawstring bag.
This event was created to encourage water safety, to promote healthy living through exercise, empower children to give off their best and learn how to work as a team and build their social skills.
This event was made possible by the partnership between uShaka Marine World, the KZN Department of Sport and Recreation and KZN Aquatics.
